ISRO - India Pride

Never in the life we thought we will be awake late night just to witness a scientific happening !. Entire India awake around 3 AM just to witness the Chandrayaan-2 soft landing on the moon .Every Indian now talking about one name called ISRO. From launching small rockets of just 30-70 kg payloads to carrying 4000 kg payloads to the outer space , ISRO has much to celebrate when it comes to space achievements..

Now it's time to highlight the journey of ISRO......Lets begin an inspirational journey of ISRO!
ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization ) is the space agency of Indian government . ISRO headquarters is situated in the city of Bengaluru. ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization ) has come a long way since it's formation on August 15 1969 . From launching small rockets of just 30-70 kg payloads to carrying 4000 kg payloads to the outer space , ISRO has much to celebrate when it comes to space achievements..
India's space began after Dr Vikram Sarabhai formed Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR) in 1962. At that time United Nations and Soviet Union were leading the space dominance. In 1969 INCOSPAR renamed as ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization).ISRO formed with vision to "harness space technology for nation development while pursuing space science research and planetary exploration". Here's a look back at key events of ISRO including some of the success of Indian space journey

ISRO'S SUCCESS:-

April 19,1975:-

In April 19,1975 ISRO built India's first satellite called "ARYABHATA". "ARYABHATA" was launched by Soviet Union on April 19,1975.

July 18,1980:-

In July 18,1980 "ROHINI" become the first satellite to be placed in to orbit by an Indian made launch vehicle SLV-3

May 20,1992:-

In May 20,1992 ISRO launched Augmented satellite launch vehicle (ASLV) & INSAT-2A

October 22,2008:-

In October 22,2008 ISRO sent an unmanned lunar orbiter "CHANDRAYAAN-1" into the orbit. The space craft was orbiting around the moon at the height of 100km. The satellite made more than 3,400 orbits around the moon and the mission was concluded when the communication with space craft was lost on August 29,2009.

September 9,2012:-

In September 9,2012 ISRO launched it's 100th space mission successfully using PSLV C-21 rocket.

November 5,2013:-

In November 5,2013 ISRO launched Mars Orbiter Mission making India the first nation to enter into the mars obrit in its single attempt. ISRO is 4th in the world and 1st in Asia to enter into mars obrit.

July 22,2019:-

In July 22,2019 ISRO launched "CHANDRAYAAN-2"  India's second moon mission.ISRO launched "CHANDRAYAAN-2" to Moon's south Pole . But unfortunately on September 7,2019 during soft landing ISRO lost signal with VIKRAM lander of chandrayaan-2 at a attitude of 2.1 km from lunar surface.

Hope ISRO will come back with the upcoming projects.
Kudos to the our scientists who works day and night for successful of projects and for development of Indian space technology..
Wishing the all the best to Team ISRO..
