TOLL TAGS FOR VEHICLES FROM DECEMBER 1

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is gearing up to implement FASTag or electronic toll collection system is mandatory for all the vehicles from the December 1.
The FASTag enabled vehicles can drive through dedicated lanes  being created without stopping at the toll plazas on National Highways.
The new device which employs RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION (RDI) Technology to make toll payments directly from a account linked to it is fixed to the wind screen of the vehicles.
Every vehicles will have toll tages fixed to the wind screen of that vehicles. A chip will be present in that toll tag. Same as like as Sim card toll tag will have some numbers. We have to recharge for that numbers. So next time whenever we pass over toll plazas that chip present in the toll tags was detected by RDI Technology then money will automatically deducted from the account linked to the toll tag.
However there have been some problems such as software glitches. For instance  if toll gate sensor does work properly it may fail to read your FASTag.
The details of availability of FASTags will be provided in above picture.
